What is Internship eCareer Fair for International Baccalaureate (IB)?
The International Baccalaureate is a not-for-proﬁt foundation, which offers four high quality and challenging educational programmes for a worldwide community of schools. For 50 years, IB programmes have gained a reputation for their high academic standards, for preparing students for life in a globalised 21st century. Founded in 1968, currently there are over one million IB students at over 4,800 schools in 153 countries and territories across the world.
This internship platform is created for IB students in Singapore aged 16 to 19 studying in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) or Career-related Programme (CP). This is an opportunity for IB students to gain knowledge and experience on their career of interest. Your participation will contribute greatly in helping our students to explore industry/ work opportunities.
What is the participating criteria for the International Baccalaureate (IB)?
Company is open to hire International Baccalaureate students.
Only relevant related positions are accepted:
Any company open to hiring IB students for internship. Internship duration ranges from 1 to 5 weeks time. Students are available between July to December 2018). Remuneration is only required to cover transport and food allowances.
Employers have to provide feedback on student’s performance to IB at the end of their internship.
The employer that has accepted a student/students for internship is required to sign a document to acknowledge their recognition of IB students.
The eCareer Fair information will be shared publicly on the IB website and social media platform. This will increase the level of awareness of the IB programme(s) as well as the employers amongst international education community.
All internship must be at 'entry level' which allow students to gain basic knowledge and skills required in their career of interest.
How long is the duration of the Internship eCareer Fair ?
The Internship eCareer Fair is from 25 June 2018 – 31 December 2018.
Where do I register for an employer job posting account?
How can I change the contact person or reset my account?
If a change of email address or person in-charge is required, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance (e.g. reset account).
I have posted the internship job online. Will it be reflected on the portal immediately?
No. Once the internship job is posted, the portal administrator will review the job posting to assess if it fulfil the requirements. Do give us up to 2 working days to approve / reject the job posting.
Will I get notified if there is internship application sent to me?
Yes, you will get notified via email when there is internship application sent to you. You are required to login to the system at https://internshipIB2018.findsgjobs.com/ to update the application status to: Shortlisted, Hired, Rejected, or Arrange Interview as appropriate.
I cannot view candidates’ contact details.
Employer is required to login to the system, go to “Application”, and update candidate’s application status to “Shortlisted” to view their contact details.
Do I need to update the interview status for all candidates that have applied to my company?
Yes, you will need to update the interview status for all candidates that have submitted their applications to you.
When is the deadline to update the candidate application status?
You are required to update the candidate application status via My Application at the end of the event.
